we just keep trying to rename the one thing worth mentioning

that's what all these words are

all any words are

that's how language becomes virus

we think that it can

make it clearer

but we focus on the language

and lose track of what it's trying to describe

we think in words and images

this extra artificial layer

with all the noise of symbolism and the distraction of syntax

memories are made up this way too

i wanted to exist before language

i wanted to dream dreams pure and without a sense of self

there was a full moon tonight

did you notice, too?

did you howl, too?

Moi, j'avais jamais rien dit. Rien
