the flight to japan was long

i watched harry potter and

american graffiti and read

the wall and other sartre

short stories instead of sleeping

the food was sort of japanese

sort of american

i drank as much free booze as they would let me

i should have slept

no one sat beside me

a girl was sitting two seats across

she slept the whole time

flying into tokyo

it didn't seem very different

from the air

just buildings and golf courses

and baseball fields

huge and sprawling, though

i was anxious, and not nervous

feeling greasey near the end

Moi, j'avais jamais rien dit. Rien
