the movie was fine but if,

instead of the father trying to deal with

mundaness of his life by constantly

retelling exaggerated stories in

some attempt to turn it into a fairy tale,

he drank

and told honest dark stories

about cruelty and suffering

he'd lived

and seen

and if, instead of leaving a legacy

by his stories continuing to be told

after he was gone by his grandkid,

he lived on forever through the

way his drinking and depression

affected his family and how the

way they were affected affected

their future families and so on

well it would have been closer

Moi, j'avais jamais rien dit. Rien
